The Château de Noizay is a perfect example of a Château-Hôtel, which has managed to maintain its authenticity through the years by using period furniture, without forgetting all the comforts necessary for a four star hotel.
A member of Relais and Châteaux, the Château de Noizay is of "Renaissance" style (1520) and was entirely renovated in 1989; it was a stronghold for Protestants during the Amboise conspiracy in 1560. It is situated in the heart of the Vouvray vineyards, 10 minutes from Amboise in the middle of 14 acre grounds, surrounded by hundred year old trees with a French style garden. It overlooks the small village of Noizay and its church.
Attractive and charming, the Château de Noizay has 19 bedrooms, 5 of which are situated in the Clock Pavilion. A large wooden staircase takes you to the first floor; the walls are of tuffaux stones and covered in tapestries, with stained glass windows and suits of armour.
The bedrooms are spacious, all with different styles and all the necessary equipment: en-suite bathroom, satellite television, mini-bar and safe.
